Customer Reviews

I purchased the ILevil SW this past July at Oshkosh. I have been very happy with this product right from the start. I use it with both FlyQ and WingX Pro. It lives up to what I expected. I am sure you will continue to enhance the features on it. Thanks for your service to the aviation community!

I upgraded from the original ilevil to the ilevil SW. If you are thinking about upgrading, here were my reasons for doing so. The new updated unit is fantastic. I'm a big Android user and we have been using Naviator ( I use my phone as a synthetic vision AHRS unit and my tablet as the map and chart device. The new unit has abandoned the plastic housing for what feels like a stable aluminum one. There are now lights that indicate the GPS and ADS-B receiving status, this allows you to look at the device and see what it's receiving! Even though the unit can get up there in temp. It's not skipped a beat in transmitting information to my devices. ADS-B works even on the ground in my location, and it does a great job showing both 978 and 1090 ADS-B/out aircraft. If flying near a large airport this is great for seeing the larger traffic that use 1090 only. It feels like the AHRS has improved as it seems more stable on the classic turn on the runway take-off scenario. Weather updates seem to be quick and take only a few minutes to update. My one "wish list" item is that levil creates a configuration utility for Android like they have for for the ios. I'm not able to change settings on the device since I don't have an iphone or ipad. If they create a utility for Android I'd give full stars.

Bought the iLevil SW to work along side my AvPlan EFB. I find the WAAS GPS pickup very good and reliable. Being in New Zealand, I may have to wait to get and see the full advantages of the unit as we don't get ADSB readouts yet or weather it seems

I had a few issues with the original iLevil SW, but it was never clear whether it was the unit or my set up. I'm am now using the SW2 with an iPad 4 running WingXPro, and at the same time, running Xavion on an iPod 5. IT WORKS FABULOUSLY. However, the best part of iLevil is the support. I've received the best support from this organization than ANY company I've ever interacted with. These people are terrific. I have no fear of recommending my friends to this product because I know if they have issues, they will be taken care. Period. End of story.

We share our iLevil SW in 3 planes ranging from a 1931 open cockpit antique to a Beech twin. It pairs nicely with FlyQ EFB using an older iPad 2 or a new iPad Mini 3 (our favorite). We bought the RAM mount to easily move it from plane to plane, and not have it loose in the cockpit. When needed, calling the company with questions was simple to get to a helpful human being.
